Trett Consulting was founded in 1977 by Roger Trett, with the aim of providing specialist commercial management, dispute resolution and planning and programming services to the world’s engineering and construction industries.
The quality of Trett Consulting’s work across all of its service areas is based on the skills and knowledge of the highly qualified and motivated professionals that make up our successful international company.
Many of our consultants have significant experience in commercial and contractual management, gained from years of working with contracting organisations on projects worldwide. We are, therefore, able to offer our clients a full range of commercial support, from pre-contract advice and tender strategy, to final account closure and support in dispute resolution proceedings.
Many of our consultants have also developed advanced planning and schedule management skills largely from a background of working on live projects. As a result, we can offer our clients a full capacity planning / scheduling service, from pre-contract strategy and resource analysis, contract programme preparation, progress monitoring, to critical path and ‘cause and effect’ delay analysis using critical path methods.
In addition to their engineering and construction expertise many members of our team have undertaken further training in management, law, arbitration practice, adjudication and mediation and other post-graduate qualifications fully representative of our global presence.
This level of dual or multi-qualification, with our strong foundations in contracting expertise, has led to Trett Consulting’s position as a leader in dispute resolution. The company and our consultants are called upon to prepare and defend claims, provide advanced delay and quantum analysis, provide advice and assistance at adjudication, arbitration, litigation and all other methods of dispute resolution. We are also renowned in the field of expert reports, acting as both delay analysis and quantum experts.
Our extensive knowledge base and skill set enables us to consider technical issues in the context of legal principles in many jurisdictions and all with the commercial reality of engineering and construction projects. Of paramount importance to us is the improvement of our clients’ commercial position, as we bridge the technical-legal gap when providing services in conjunction with legal professionals who have been nominated by our client.
With decades in our core service areas, Trett Consulting is also able to offer bespoke training solutions to our full client base worldwide. We provide training and seminars including both general contract procedures as well as more on all aspects relating to our services and specialist subjects.
