Trett Consulting provides Expert Witness services to assist those involved in the process of construction and engineering litigation or arbitration.
These disputes usually concern time and/or cost overruns, and our senior professionals are frequently involved in quantum analysis and in complex cause and effect delay and disruption analysis. We are also required to provide a broad range of specialist technical knowledge and the ability to access, manage and interpret extensive records.
Given our considerable wealth of experience, we are able to provide practical and realistic advice in formulating a thorough, well-researched and presented report.
We can be appointed as both advisor and expert witness.
We are a Corporate Member of The Academy of Experts and a number of our staff are individual Practising Members. We are also well represented in The Academy’s Executive and Council.
We can assist our clients in many ways, including:
• Undertaking of thorough examinations of all relevant documentation
• Identification of strengths and weaknesses of the client’s position and that of the opposing party
• Preparation and submission of preliminary reports for use during initial negotiations
• Assistance in the disclosure and assessment of the opposing party’s documents
• Liaison with the opposing side’s expert in order to identify areas of agreement
• Preparation and submission of a final report to the court or tribunal, providing a detailed basis for examination in the proceedings
• Acting as party or court-appointed expert witness to give expert testimony and to be cross-examined
• Acting as the client’s expert advisor on technical matters, including potential strategies and close work with the client’s legal team
