Cambridge University mathematicians had long outgrown their old premises that were inefficient and inhibited collaboration. Grontmij helped create a world-class campus appropriate to the faculty.
Common plant and equipment were used to minimise maintenance requirements with all solutions adhering to stringent planning constraints on noise, light pollution and visibility.
The design was developed to allow phased construction in line with the availability of funds which were being raised concurrently. Great care and attention was paid by Grontmij into making the facility as future proof as possible.
