Grontmij was appointed to provide full engineering and fire services design for two hotels and a leisure centre. Economically installing the services necessary for the facilities within the listed building and within constraints imposed by the existing structure required careful planning and coordination.

Grontmij worked closely with the design team to optimise room and riser locations to allow a standard range of solutions to be adopted. Servicing options were investigated for each hotel and the final solutions chosen optimized both cost and programme.
