The design has been conceived as three interlinked ‘strips’ clad in copper and terracotta panels that mediate between the Tooley Street Conservation Area and the contemporary More London Development.

Heat is recuperated from useful energy contained within extracted air using a heat exchanger, inverter drives are fitted to all fans and pumps to reduce wasted energy and provide efficient control of plant. A building management system has been installed to enable Hilton to take full control of all engineering systems to monitor and manage energy consumption.
