Nick started his career as a mechanical engineering apprentice at the Royal Dockyard at Portsmouth with specialist training on steam plant distribution systems, gas turbines, weapon control and management. In 1980 he joined the NHS as a Hospital Engineer managing a team in the operation maintenance of all building services.
He joined Grontmij in 1985 and was appointed as a director in 1997 and runs a multi-disciplinary design group dealing with a wide range of hotel, leisure, commercial and public sector projects. His project portfolio includes speculative, public and owner occupier developments, featuring newbuild, fit out and refurbishment projects.
Nick is the director responsible for specialist sustainable buildings services, providing thermal analysis and sustainable technologies. He is also responsible for providing bespoke services for specialist projects.
