Trevor joined Grontmij in 1974 after graduating and obtaining work experience with consultants and contractors. He was resident in Hong Kong during 1983-86 as chief mechanical engineer on the Hongkong Bank HQ.

Trevor returned to the UK in 1986 and has subsequently been involved in the detailed design and development of numerous substantial projects in the UK and overseas.

Trevor is also responsible for technical standards and has been actively involved as an external technical advisor to BRE on BREEAM and has sat on the CIBSE professional practices panel.

Trevor was also a member of the original drafting committee for the British Council of Offices specification for urban offices, as well as a past member of the BCO technical committee.
