A new lease of life was given to one of London’s oldest warehouse buildings by a stunning conversion. The redevelopment provided luxury apartments serviced with
the latest technology, whilst retaining the building’s historic elements.
The challenge was to devise servicing strategies that could be integrated successfully within the varying existing structural and planning constraints. It was essential that residential services would be suitable for their potential target market yet should promote environmentally responsible usage. Grontmij analysed alternative services options in relation to their impact on the existing building, and offered specialist solutions for heating, lighting, transportation and security systems.
