Grontmij has conducted extensive energy analysis in line with the Mayor’s Energy Strategy as set out in ‘The London Plan, Spacial Development Strategy for Greater London’. Overall carbon dioxide emissions arising from the use of fossil fuels are projected to be at least 40% less than an equivalent building which complies with the (2006) Building Regulations.

An integrated thermal energy strategy was developed whereby excess heat is redistributed and reused within the development. The scheme comprises connection to a local district heating network, on-site fuel cell driven trigeneration plant, thermal storage vessels and dock water sourced heat rejection.
