Electrical Engineer (LEE/WAT/120) 

You will be working within a multidisciplinary design team supporting the delivery of a wide variety of projects on both water and waste water projects.

Outline of role:
You will be capable of working under your own initiative with an appropriate level of supervision.  At higher grades you will be required to supervise the work of junior engineers. You will work on several projects simultaneously.  Your involvement and responsibilities will be project dependant and will cover; project feasibility through to detailed design and construction support.  Typical duties will include liaising with / managing other electrical engineers, CAD operators and other discipline designers as well as subcontractors and the supply chain, undertaking feasibility studies, optioneering, electrical design, developing design drawings and documents, project budgeting and administration and contract document preparation.  The ability to communicate in a fluent and positive manner with other team members and to produce reports in clear English is necessary.

Qualifications required:
UK recognised degree qualification in Electrical Engineering, ideally to MEng Level, accredited by the IET. Either Chartered or working towards a recognised professional qualification and membership of a relevant professional institution such as the IET.

Experience required:
Ideally you will have had continuous, well balanced work experience within the engineering industry since graduating. As a minimum you will have been working within a design office and will have experience and knowledge in the design of water / waste water non-infrastructure design.  You will have strong interpersonal and team working skills and be able to form good working relationships at all levels within the organisation and with clients and contractors.  You will be a confident communicator in both written and oral English and be keen to gain and share knowledge.  Experience of relevant software packages such as Amtech, MS Project, Word, Excel, etc. is required and some knowledge of AutoCAD would be beneficial.
