Outline of role: 
Provide consultancy services in relation to geological/ environmental issues by undertaking both office and site based work.

Prepare and assist in the preparation of desk study, site investigation, risk assessment and validation reports
Site supervision and routine monitoring during groundwater/ environmental site investigations
Training to manage small projects. 
Develop the ability to undertake financial management of project tasks by acting as a task manager.
Develop skills in contaminated land investigation and risk assessment
Develop skills in Qualitative and Quantitative risk assessment
Assist in proposal writing
Where appropriate, and subject to competence assessment, assist as and when with site work (site investigation, gas and groundwater monitoring for contaminated land and landfill projects)
Report to Line Manager
Assist with marketing initiatives, including screening and targeting of potential clients
To manage the use and calibration of field equipment

Qualifications required:
Qualified to degree level, preferably to MSc level in a relevant environmental science

Experience required:
Up to two years experience in an Environmental Consultancy background is preferred

Qualities required: 
Ability to work on own initiative and seek assistance when required
Ability to organise and prioritise workload to ensure that timescales are met
Good problem solving/contingency planning skills with ability to find quick, innovative and practical solutions
Take responsibility for personal development
Able to work collaboratively with others to form strong positive working relationships with colleagues, clients and contractors.
Demonstrate pride in work, through accurate timely delivery
Be well organised and systematic
