Senior Engineer – Energy and Water Infrastructure (WRE/ENE/008) 

Project Manager and Lead Designer on small to medium sized projects, responsible for planning and managing the delivery of the technical and financial elements through multi-discipline teams on both wind energy and water infrastructure projects.

Outline of role:
Undertake structural engineering design and supervise other team members. To assist in developing our wind energy and water infrastructure business through managing existing and new Client relationships to a high standard of technical and financial delivery.

Qualifications required:
• Qualified to Degree level or above in civil/ Structural Engineering or related discipline
• Recognised professional qualifications including membership of the Institution of Civil/ Structural Engineers

Experience required:
• Have experience of the management of small to medium sized projects, both financially and technically
• Strong interpersonal / team working skills, with a good working relationship with all levels of the organisation, clients and contractors.
• Wide structural design experience in concrete, steel and masonry to British Standards and preferably to Eurocode Standards.
• Familiarity with relevant structural design software packages such as CSC Tedds, CSC Fastrak, Staad Pro,
• Have appropriate experience in design, contract and tender preparation, tender assessment, construction supervision and administration.

• Ability to organise and prioritise workload to ensure that timescales are met
• Good problem solving/contingency planning skills with ability to find quick, innovative and practical solutions
• Take responsibility for personal development and enable and support the learning of others
• Effective negotiation and persuading skills, able to manage and diffuse challenging situations
• Project a professional image to clients and colleagues
• Able to work collaboratively with others to form strong positive working relationships with colleagues, clients and contractors.
• Able to recognise own impact on others and adapt approach where appropriate
• Demonstrate pride in work, through accurate timely delivery.
