Supporting the delivery the operational elements of the Human Resources Strategy, including responsibility for HR systems and reporting and a range of HR and L&D related administration & coordination.
Outline of role:
Recruitment
• Manage staff requisitions and establish a system for the effective tracking of vacancies and recruitment
• Check, Produce and amend contracts of employment and obtain work permits as required
• Ensure compliance with work permit legislation in recruitment and administers the system of sponsorship for overseas workers. Highlights possible issues to the SHRBP
• Support managers in recruitment interviews
Managing Information & Reporting
• Support in managing employee data using appropriate systems
• Produce and evaluate company KPIs making recommendations where appropriate
• Produce monthly reports for Grontmij Group, liaising with Group HR Manager as appropriate
• Maintain the HR section of iShare ensuring policies and procedures are maintained and updated as necessary
• Gathering information and producing reports for Pre Qualification documents and Tenders
Pay and Benefits
• Support the administration of the Employee Share Purchase Plan for Grontmij UK & Ireland.
• Support in maintaining the accurate flow of information for payroll changes for Landscape Architecture, Building Services and Trett UK
• Support in the administration of the annual salary review process
Generalist HR
• Provide advice and support to line managers on all aspects of HR activities including HR/L&D policies and procedures
• Coordinate and support HR Coordinators to ensure that they are competent to provide the support we require.
• Draft and update company policies and procedures in line with relevant employment legislation
• Remain up to date with changes in employment law and HR best practice, and proactively identify when and how to integrate into the company
• Identify local issues and refer them to SHRBP to ensure company-wide, best practice approach is taken
• Occasional travel to other Grontmij offices and being away from home
• Production of letters and documents covering a range of HR/L&D employee issues
Experience/ Qualities required:
• Experience of working in a human resources team desirable.
• Good personal organisation, planning and prioritisation skills
• Attention to detail
• Problem solving skills and ability to find quick, innovative, practical solutions
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• High degree of IT literacy with sound reporting skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in a busy, varied, challenging and changeable environment
• Positive, professional ‘can do’ attitude
• First rate customer care skills – takes ownership
