Grontmij provides expert advice on all aspects of sustainable design within the built environment. Underlying our service is the belief that intelligent design is the mechanism through which sustainable principles are translated into practical, cost-effective solutions that satisfy the aspirations of owners, occupiers and future generations.
Identifying energy saving measures
Grontmij can undertake an energy review of your building systems to identify energy saving measures under two main categories:
• Good housekeeping measures which can be implemented at little or no cost but which provide tangible savings.
• System modification, requiring capital expenditure but which provide cost benefit after an initial pay back period.
BREEAM
In addition, we are also registered assessors for the Building Research Establishment’s Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) and EcoHomes, which have established themselves as the UK’s de facto standard for measuring building sustainability. Many of our buildings have achieved the highest BREEAM and other environmental assessment ratings and our team of assessors offers practical and independent advice on building performance and labelling during all stages of a project.
