Deriving heat from waste
A new development area North of Copenhagen derives its heat from a nearby waste incineration plant called Nordforbraending.
The district heating system has a total capacity of 2.5MW and serves 235 new family homes. Grontmij undertook the feasibility study for the project including evaluation of the energy supply options and evaluations of the cost/benefit and the environmental impact.
