Full asset refurbishment
Grontmij was commissioned by Scottish Water to carry out a feasibility study on the potential, ”Green”, energy yield available based on export and offset savings utilising Renewable Obligation Certificates, Levy Exemption Certificates and Power Purchase agreements.
Successful connection
Grontmij subsequently managed the full refurbishment of the asset on behalf of the client to a standard compliant with OFGEM’s guidelines. The turbine was brought back on-line and successfully connected to the grid. The asset now produces an average annual energy yield of approximately 1500MW/Hr.
