Hydrological and Hydraulic Assessments
Flooding from several watercourses had resulted in significant damage to residential properties over a number of years. On behalf of Argyll and Bute Council, we undertook hydrological and hydraulic assessments of each watercourse, which was tidally affected in their downstream reaches.
We appraised a number of options to provide a 1 in 200 year standard of protection and the preferred one includes a number of high level flow diversion structures and some lengths of hard defence. We also assisted the client in his submission for funding to the Scottish Executive.
