The MOD has published its most recent Sustainable Development Report that details their approach to sustainable development and monitors how they have performed in relation to Government-mandated targets. Grontmij, in conjunction with project partners, Two Tomorrows Europe Ltd, prepared the independent assurance statement for the MOD’s Sustainable Development Report 2009.

Grontmij and Two Tomorrows assessed the claims made within the report, included interviews with selected directors, senior commanding officers and senior managers within MOD responsible for management of sustainability issues. This included the 2nd Permanent Under Secretary for Defence, members of the Safety, Sustainable Development & Continuity Division, RAF Air Command, Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S), Land Command, Permanent Joint Headquarters, Royal Navy Command and Defence Estates.
