The landscape concept for the Abbey Park Campus draws strongly on the desire to create both a new public space, whilst using the opportunity the redevelopment creates to rationalise and manage pedestrian and cyclist movement across the site. The college building itself is sited to provide a strong frontage to the Belgrave Flyover therefore improving the integrity of the urban grain, whilst simultaneously creating a barrier to noise and pollution which may otherwise affect the college site.
