The framework aims to guide the future growth of the university, while creating a coherent and legible campus which responds to its wider setting within close proximity of Leeds city centre. A strategy comprises a network of connected spaces across the central campus, each identified as having their own unique character.

The proposed development will be constructed over the next decade, providing a high quality public realm for future students and staff, whilst ensuring the university is rated highly by its users for an attractive and enjoyable environment to study and live in.
