Courtyard on 14th is a prestigious retail driven, mixed-use development scheme comprising residential apartments, commercial offices and a hotel set
within the heart of a new retail mall at 14th Avenue, Johannesburg, South Africa.
Grontmij was appointed to design the public realm for this exciting new development. The public realm will tie the new development into the existing urban fabric, creating a permeable movement network within the site as well as responding to the wider context.
The design responds to the site’s topography, creating a range of spaces on different levels and maximizing the panoramic views of the suburban valley to the north.
