Grontmij was commissioned to prepare landscape proposals for the academic buildings campus within this new university.
The landscape elements comprise two substantial triangular courtyard gardens for male and female students with planted walkways linking teaching blocks with the central library and car parks.
The courtyard gardens which are inspired both by arid, desert landscape conditions and the concept of the paradise garden, providing space for social interaction, contemplation and study. Shaded areas are also designed to provide outdoor teaching spaces.
