Lakeside Moscow
Grontmij was part of a multi-disciplinary team preparing landscape proposals and a full landscape consultancy service for the masterplan for an exciting new mixed use scheme on the outskirts of Moscow.
The 180 hectare brownfield site will have retail, residential, commercial and extensive public realm/open space. The site includes a number of challenges including contamination and integration with the existing highway and services networks.
The components include two main parks, a wide array of formal and informal recreation facilities, water features including canals and large recreational ponds. Sustainable urban drainage solutions are a significant component of the proposals.
