Ian was a founding partner of Whitelaw Turkington prior to its acquisition by Grontmij in 2008. He is an operations director based in London with a creative leadership role throughout the landscape architecture and urban design disciplines.

He has a particular expertise in the planning and design of major public realm projects in town centre regeneration, office, retail and residential development.

Ian is particularly concerned with the values, physical and cultural characteristics of civic space and its role in enabling public life and supporting sustainable places.
