An extensive sequence of public spaces, opening onto the canal and River Aire, is a central component of the design. Buildings will be carefully orientated to maximise sunlight into the spaces and allow views of the river and canal. A linear water feature is incorporated to provide a separation of public and private space. Winter gardens are provided to the south elevations to deal with acoustic issues caused by the railway.
