19 Dec 2011 | Growing Grontmij promotes from within

Engineering consultancy, Grontmij, has promoted three of its building services specialists to associate level as it seeks to continue the division’s strong growth into 2012.

Mark Davison, Peter Hale and Graham Light have all been recognised for their work on projects such as the 26-storey Willis Building on London’s Lime Street, and the stunning 10-storey, 7 More London, near Tower Bridge.

Geoffrey Palmer, director of Grontmij’s building services division, said: “Our building services division has had a successful year and we are very much looking forward to continuing that into 2012.

“Mark, Peter and Graham have played key roles in driving the business forward and their promotions are a recognition of that success.  Promoting from within and rewarding people in this way is a crucial part of our strategy to ensure Grontmij is and remains a great place to work.”

A further nine people within Grontmij’s building services division have also been promoted. Peter Holmes, James Nunn, Edmund Vaughan and Mark Willis all became Project Engineers, while Richard Beer, Jon Waite, Iain Hughes and Genesis Gomez became Senior Engineers.

Mr Palmer added: “Following a very challenging period, 2011 has seen us expand by winning a series of significant contracts and creating more than 15 new jobs.

“As a company, we always seek to recognise our own talent and we have been very fortunate this year to have had so many excellent people working for us.”
