Morgan Est and Grontmij win new contract award with Yorkshire Water
Joint venture partners Morgan Est and Grontmij have secured a five-year framework contract with Yorkshire Water covering the next Asset Management Period worth £80 million.
Working with Yorkshire Water, the team will carry out improvement works to clean and waste water treatment works in batches across the region. The scope includes all civil, process, mechanical and electrical engineering works from investigation and feasibility through to commissioning and handover.
Mark Cutler, managing director for Morgan Est, said: “This contract win is a fantastic result for all of our Yorkshire Water team and for the wider Morgan Est business. It builds on a strong relationship with Yorkshire Water and Grontmij developed through the last two asset management periods and will further reinforce our position as one of the country’s leading water and infrastructure specialists.”
Scott Aitken, director of water for Grontmij, said: “A combination of the collaborative and innovative culture with the expertise and skills of Grontmij and Morgan Est has clearly been recognised by Yorkshire Water in appointing us to this framework. Yorkshire Water aims to be the best performing water utility company and we are delighted to be assisting them in achieving their goal and being part of that success.”
Work will commence in April 2010.
