Managing water quality in Scotland
Grontmij is providing project management services to Scottish Water and Scottish Water Solutions for the delivery of a portfolio of water quality projects under Scottish Water’s Q&S3 capital programme.
The role requires the management of cost, resources and programme to deliver projects from feasibility through to construction and client handover.
A project lifecycle approach
Key to the delivery of the projects has been the use of the client’s management procedures and utilisation of a project life cycle approach whereby a work breakdown structure was established to develop and monitor progress of the projects.
In addition the Project Manager used knowledge and experience to ensure that the project outputs were achieved at best whole life cost in the process ensuring that the agreed scope provided significant programme efficiencies.
