Grontmij provided Expert Witness services to The City of Edinburgh Council in relation to the problems that developed in a natural stone road construction over significant lengths of the Royal Mile in Edinburgh Old Town.

Grontmij reviewed the construction records and worked with other experts in investigating the actual construction and the causes of the deformations and failures. Grontmij assisted with the development of court documentation and technical reports. Grontmij subsequently assisted in the development of the information required for the mediation process, took part in the process which led to a successful settlement for the client.
