Grontmij has advised The City of Edinburgh Council on a natural stone road construction project, which had exhibited problems. 

Grontmij played a key role in:

• carrying out the assessments of the records
• planning investigations
• preparation of court briefs
• preparation and support to the mediation process

Grontmji’s technical input to the mediation process helped achieve an acceptable financial settlement for the client.

Grontmij also assisted other clients resolve issues with pavements due to design and construction issues or damage resulting from accidents and fuel spillages in determining the responsibilities and the value of the remedial works.
