Grontmij worked with Midlothian Council during the development of a scheme to upgrade Bonnyrigg town centre. 

Grontmij was responsible for the engineering design, including alignment, drainage, lighting, road pavement, natural stone footways, engineering contract documents, site supervision.

To reduce future maintenance costs, the natural stone footways were designed to accommodate vehicle over run.
