A chartered civil engineer with significant experience in the construction, engineering and defence industries, particularly new build, renovation, restoration, environmental and logistics engineering.  Has extensive resident engineer and project director experience in the Gulf States, Balkans, Germany, United States and the UK, including taking a lead role in engineering infrastructure equipment procurement. 

Specialises in commercial management, construction contracts and claims analysis, adjudication, arbitration and support to litigation and has represented parties in numerous adjudication proceedings.  Richard is a practising expert witness and Member of the Academy of Experts, and a Member of the Academy’s Executive Council.  He is also a Chartered Arbitrator. An experienced MSc-level tutor with both Cranfield University and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, he is able to provide training seminars to clients in construction contracts, dispute resolution and numerous civil engineering disciplines.
