Enhanced pathogen removal or destruction in wastewater is driven by the standards required in the receiving water. For marine discharges this is usually the need to maintain standards in designated bathing waters.
Examples of our work
Works for which Grontmij undertook ultraviolet disinfection system design include those for United Utilities at Carnforth and Seascale. These wastewater treatment plants are to serve populations of 15,000 and 2,000 respectively.
