Replacing region-wide real time data gathering telemetry systems
At the time, the system monitored over 80,000 data points at over 5,000 sites throughout the Midlands. Under a five year framework, Grontmij’s scope was to provide a wide-range of services from business case studies, through feasibility, specification, procurement, detailed design and implementation.
This was carried out in conjunction with a Severn Trent Water in-house team and included detailed design of the alarm management system and configuration management system.
Improving processes and change management
In addition, Grontmij carried out the configuration migration from the existing system to the new system as well as providing input to the business process improvements and associated change management.
